LASER RESURFACING: Similar to chemical peels, this procedure removes areas of damaged skin. It may be used to remove fine lines from the face, as well as treat facial scars or uneven pigmentation. It may even be performed to remove tattoos. Laser resurfacing offers the benefits of resurfacing with less post-operative discomfort, for some patients. It is often performed on small, localized areas of the face. It is performed inder general anesthesia. The procedure may be repeated, as time passes, if desired.
