INJECTIBLE FILLERS: In this procedure, fillers are injected into the face to fill in creases, or to add fullness to the lips or cheeks. The most common fillers used are collagen, alloderm, and fat, harvested from the patient's own body. Permancy of the results varies from patient to patient. The anesthetic lidocaine is mixed with collagen before implantation, so no further anesthesia
is usually necessary. For fat injections, the donor and recipient sites are numbed. Sedation may be used with both types of filler procedures.
